[bloggerDev] jump break disappears when posting via API

It sort of makes sense that <!-- more --> would be lost when posting
to the Blogger Data API (perhaps ALL comments are removed in the
process), but how else can the jump break be inserted? Is this a known
bug and is there a workaround, or perhaps I missed something in the
docs?
